Fast OnlineUpdate for SuSE (fou4s) is a bash script that provides the functionality of YOU (YaST OnlineUpdate), but can also work in background and check for updates every night. It supports resumed downloads and proxies by using wget. GPG signatures are also checked.

Support for curl was added. Some HTTPS and
business product fixes were done. Downloading the
server list now works again. The "directory" files
used by you to detect the updates are now used

FreeVMS is an OpenVMS-like operating system which can run on several architectures like i386, PPC, Alpha, and many others. It consists of a POSIX kernel and a DCL command line interpreter. The only architecture currently supported is i386.

Twinkle is a software phone for voice over IP
communications using the SIP protocol. You can use
it for direct IP phone to IP phone communication,
or in a network using a SIP proxy to route your
calls. Some of the features offered are call
waiting, call hold, 3-way conference call, call
transfer, and call reject. It supports STUN or a
statically configured public IP address for NAT
traversal. When using STUN, it will send
keep-alive packets to keep NAT bindings alive.

Comix is a user-friendly, customizable image viewer. It is specifically designed to handle comic books, but also serves as a generic viewer. It reads images in ZIP, RAR, or tar archives (also gzip or bzip2 compressed) as well as plain image files. It is written in Python and uses GTK+ through the PyGTK bindings.

Changes:
This version presents a few more features and a
lot of small bugfixes. MIME types for cbz, cbr,
and cbt archives are now registered by default,
and Comix includes a thumbnailer for Nautilus that

SMB for FUSE is a Network Neighborhood (Samba
shares) filesystem. It works like smbfs, but
instead of accessing one share at a time, all
computers and workgroups are accessible at once
from a single filesystem mount, making network
browsing just as easy as it is on Windows.

This release fixes a segmentation fault in the
configuration file parser and fixes a problem with
temporary cache files. The program is now

wview is an application that controls a supported weather station to retrieve archive records and current conditions. Archive records may optionally be stored in a relational database (MySQL or PostgreSQL). At a user-defined interval, wview will use the archive history and current conditions to generate weather images (buckets and graphs) and Web pages based on configurable HTML templates. It supports serial and USB data loggers, as well as connectivity with a terminal server or serial server via TCP sockets.

Ansilove/PHP is a set of tools for converting ANSi and artscene-related file formats into PNG images. It supports ANSi (.ANS), BiNARY (.BIN), ADF (.ADF), iDF (.IDF), TUNDRA (.TND), and XBiN (.XB) formats. It includes an all-purpose command line converter along with a library for use on Web pages for doing "on the fly" conversions. It creates small 4-bit PNG files and supports SAUCE (Standard Architecture for Universal Comment Extentions), 80x25, 80x50, Amiga fonts, and iCE colors.

Changes:
Input sanitization in the loaders (load_*.php) was
added to prevent disclosure of unauthorized
content by converting files accessible by the Web
server. An .htaccess was added to restrict access
(Deny to all by default) to the "upload" directory
(online converter). ".ansilove" was added at the
end of the uploaded filenames to prevent code
injection if the upload directory access isn't
restricted. The uploaded file is deleted after the
conversion (online converter).

Transmission is a lightweight BitTorrent client.
It features a simple, intuitive interface on top
on an efficient, cross-platform back-end.
Transmission runs on Mac OS X with a Cocoa
interface, Linux/NetBSD/FreeBSD/OpenBSD with a
GTK+ interface, and BeOS with a native interface.

Changes:
Only one port is used for all torrents. The
choking algorithm was rewritten. The download and
upload sizes are remembered from one launch to
another. A new GTK+ interface and a new BeOS
interface were implemented. The Mac OS X version
now features dock badging, shows the file icon in
the list, shows the ratio once a download is
completed, and automatically checks for updates. A
display bug on Intel Macs was fixed.

Impact is a finite element program for simulation
of dynamic events such as car crashes or other
large deformation events. It is kept very simple
to make it intuitive to use and easy to change and
extend. The program includes a NURBS based
pre-processor for modelling, a solver with editor,
a post-processor, and a graph plotter for results
viewing. Impact also interfaces with several other
programs, such as Nastran and Gmsh.

The solver now parses large problems much faster
and with progress feedback. A new material,
TermoelastoPlastic, has been added and the
documentation was updated. The preprocessor stl
function has been improved and file menus were
improved for all GUI parts. Finally, a few

Cluster version does not work in this release.

IP-Array is a Linux iptables firewall script written in bash. It allows the creation of precise, stateful rules, while remaining easy to configure. IP-Array supports VPN, traffic shaping (creation of custom HTB and SFQ qdiscs, classes, and filters), multiple external interfaces, multiple LANs, multiple DMZs, NAT, logging, MAC address matching, packet marking, syslog logging, and various sysctl settings. It also includes some presets and autoconfig options for common needs like DNS, FTP, SMTP.

New configuration options have been added: Syslog

comic2email uses regular expressions to extract
Web-based comics and send them to your email
account as a MIME include. It can be used instead
of having to remember to actively visit a Web
site, or relying on RSS and atom files that do
little more than remind you visit a Web site. Each
email includes links to the strip's homepage and
supporting store. It takes about two minutes to
add another comic to your collection.

This release adds "debug", "test single comic", and "verbose" modes, and
an RFC2068-compliant user-agent. Running is now silent in normal mode,
with only errors reported to stdout. The X-Mailer email header is now

myPhile is a Web application that serves as a customizable generic front-end to any MySQL table. It provides "view" control and user access privileges for editing, deleting, adding records, and more. Field control allows default strings or MySQL calculations on adds or edits. All functions are provided in a single PHP file. Simple and complex searches are possible and the most recent searches are stored. It supports the creation of CSV files. Row views and detail views are configurable through a simple Web interface.

CreditCruncher is a program that uses the Monte
Carlo method to compute the credit risk of large
portfolios in which assets are mortgages, loans,
bonds, endorsements, or the like (all of them of
fixed income with a policy buy/sell and hold). The
default time is simulated using a gaussian copula,
taking into account the transition matrix (or
survival function) and sectorial correlation
matrix defined by the user.

Msort is a program for sorting files in sophisticated ways. Records need not be single lines. Key fields may be selected by position, tag, or character range. For each key, distinct exclusions, multigraphs, substitutions, and a sort order may be defined. Comparisons may be lexicographic, numeric, hybrid, random, by string length, angle, date, time, or ISO8601 timestamp. Optional keys are supported. Msort uses the Unicode character set and provides full Unicode case-folding. The basic program has a somewhat complex command line interface, but may be driven by an optional GUI.

K3b is a CD and DVD burning application for Linux systems optimized for KDE. It provides a comfortable user interface to perform most CD/DVD burning tasks, such as creating an audio CD from a set of audio files or copying a CD. While the experienced user can influence all steps of the burning process, the beginner may find comfort in the automatic settings and the reasonable defaults which allow a quick start. The actual burning is done by the command line utilities cdrecord, cdrdao, and growisofs.

Selection in the audio CD ripping window was fixed along with info block handling in the WAVE audio file decoder. A crash with HAL 0.5 or later when exiting the program was fixed. The mounting state of a medium is now ignored when showing its contents. A bug in the ISO options code that sometimes resulted in a failed verification was fixed. A proper Xing header is now written when encoding VBR MP3s.

tovid is a suite of command line utilities (and a graphical frontend) for creating video discs in DVD, VCD, SVCD, and KVCD/KDVD formats (PAL or NTSC). tovid supports a wide variety of input video formats, and can encode to several different output resolutions. Discs may be authored with hierarchical menus for navigation and playback.
