License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: The most notable changes are the addition of out-of-the-box support for indexing OpenDocument format in Omega, and a fix for compiling with GCC 4.0.1 or newer in xapian-core. This method can often detect accounts overtaken by attackers. The framework allows full customization of every aspect of the polymer chemistry being defined, and of the way the polymer sequences are graphically displayed. It uses the iptables ipqueue userspace library, supports all protocols, and is very light in resource usage. A command line option -q has been added to specify the queue number (only when using the NFQUEUE interface); this must match the iptables --queue-num option. It defaults to 0 if not specified. It supports CD recorders from many different vendors; all SCSI-3/mmc- and ATAPI/mmc-compliant drives should also work. Supported features include IDE/ATAPI, parallel port, and SCSI drives, audio CDs, data CDs, and mixed CDs, full multi-session support, CDRWs (rewritable), TAO, DAO, RAW, and human-readable error messages. cdrtools includes remote SCSI support and can access local or remote CD writers. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: This release fixes a bug introduced with release a06 that caused cdrecord to fail because of CDR_MAXFIFOSIZE= in the case that /etc/default/cdrecord was not present. Heiko's cdda2wav changes for FreeBSD from 2004 have been integrated. These changes had been delayed since they came during a code freeze phase. FreeBSD and DragonFly users need to test whether this integration causes problems.

It efficiently constructs the ancestral recombination graph for a given number of individuals and uses this to simulate samples of SNP and micro satellite haplotypes/genotypes. The generated sample can afterwards be separated in cases and controls, depending on the states of selected individual markers. The tool can accordingly also be used to construct cases and control data sets for association studies. PUD (Portable Unix Documentation) is shipped with zoem. It provides two mini-languages for authoring manpages and FAQ documents. Among other features, it offers support for reliable syslog over TCP and RFC 3195, writing to MySQL databases, fully configurable output formats (including great timestamps), and the ability to filter on any part of the syslog message. It is designed as a drop-in replacement for stock syslogd and thus able to work with the same config file syntax. Of course, some enhanced features require changing the config file, but in general, this should be fairly easy. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: This version offers an even smarter message parser, detecting more syslog header formats. Unfortunately, there is a large variety in header formatting among the diffent syslogds, and rsyslog now does an even finer job at guessing how the message is formatted. Also, the release contains support for the upcoming IETF syslog-protocol message format standard. This is a recommended update for all users of the development branch.

The theme now uses the engine from Python Sudoku (http://pythonsudoku.sourceforge.net). This provides a faster and more robust generator. It also means that the difficulty levels mean something. Previously, there wasn't much difference between the difficulty levels. Now there's a clear difference.

Patches can be applied, un-applied, refreshed, etc. The key philosophical concept is that your primary output is patches, not ".c" files or ".h" files, so patches are the first-class object here. It was originally based on Andrew Morton's patch scripts published on the Linux kernel mailing list a while ago, but has been heavily modified since then. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: A serious bug in the push command, introduced in release 0.43, was fixed. It could lead to data loss, so users of release 0.43 are invited to quickly upgrade to 0.44.
