Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in Linux Kernel, which could be exploited by local attackers to disclose sensitive information or cause a denial of service.

The first issue is due to an error in the "nfs_get_user_pages()" [direct.c] function that does not properly validate certain values sent via the "get_user_pages()" function, which could be exploited by malicious users to cause a denial of service via an "O_DIRECT" write.

The second vulnerability is due to an error in the XFS "ftruncate()" function, which could expose stale data off disk to local users.

The third vulnerability is due to an error when handling bad elf entry addresses, which could be exploited by local attackers to cause an endless recursive fault on Intel systems, creating a denial of service condition.#####OSDir.com is proud to be a Media Sponsor of Desktop Linux Summit 2006.Learn about exciting emerging technology and open source at the Desktop Linux Summit in downtown San Diego, April 24-25. htb-gen is an easy, scalable bandwidth management
tool. You can set up/down portions of bandwith for
each host or network that goes through your
router/firewall. Priority traffic (Web, email,
gaming, FTK, VOIP, and streaming) is preferred
over junk traffic (Kazaa, emule, etc). Dynamic
bandwith borrowing and reassignment is done betwen
hosts thanks to htb boundaries. A Web frontend for
config is avaible, so remote management is
possible. It is bash-based, so it can be used in
embedded routers/firewalls (wired/wireless). Two
backends are aviable: one that generates raw tc
commands, and one that generates htb-init conf
files (util for integration). The packet
clasification is done by iptables.

License: GNU General Public License (GPL)

Changes:
A code mistake that preventd upload rates from
working at all wass fixed. A bad shell link in
web-htb-gen was fixed. The tar.gz package has been
fixed, and a htb-gen directory is now created.

ReferrerCop parses Apache log files and AWStats
data files and removes entries for referring URLs
that match a list of known referrer spammers. Logs can be run through ReferrerCop either before or after they're processed by AWStats (or before they're processed by any other log analyzer) to eliminate annoying referrer spam from Web statistics.

License: GNU General Public License (GPL)

Changes:
The format of blacklists and whitelists has
changed slightly. Performance with large lists has

internationalized and multilingualized.

License: GNU General Public License (GPL)

Changes:

when trying to move IMAP4 folders right under the
root folder, and after a message window was closed
while the search dialog was still open. In the
Win32 version, the non-ASCII filename encoding

The bug that the main window became unresponsive
